Rotary inducts newest member |

 At the regular Wednesday noon meeting of the
Pittsfield Rotary Club on October 5th, Stephanie Dehart, new Pittsfield Rotarian and Manager of Pike County Public Transit, gave the group an update on the Public Transit system. Since January 2011, Pike County Public Transit has provided over 15,000 rides. This exceeds
original estimates and provides concrete evidence of the need for this rural public transit system. Josh Filbert, current Pittsfield Rotary President thanked Stephanie for her presentation with a special Rotary key chain. For more information about Pike County Public Transit, call

Rotary inducts new member |
 Pittsfield
Rotary Club President Dan Borrowman welcomed newest Rotarian Scott Lummis to the club at the regular noon meeting of the Pittsfield Rotary Club on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Scott joins the club of 45 local members and
more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job
training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. Rotary International is the world's first service club organization.

Peru GSE Team shares experiences from their native country |
|
 The Pittsfield Rotary Club was host to a special
Group Study Exchange (GSE) team from Peru from April 19 to April 21. While the young professionals from Peru are visiting central Illinois clubs in Rotary District 6460, a GSE team of young professionals from District 6460 is visiting Rotary clubs in Peru. Team members visiting
Pittsfield were, Team Leader Lourdes, an attorney; Oscar, an oncologist; Cecelia and Magnolia, both engineers and Alfredo, an economist. Local Rotarians hosted the team members in their homes and the team presented a program on Peru at the noon Rotary meeting on April 20th
and exchanged gifts with the Pittsfield Club.
