President Ann Revis announced that we still have a lot of openings for Programs…….

When, oh when, will we get the schedule full….need one for this next week….There are a lot of program potentials out there…Gary could elaborate upon what the testing program and its consequences mean to the school system…(you read the newspaper), Dr. Ron Short could expound on the different varieties of garlic and their uses…., Johnson Stilwell on the niceties of hip surgery…Chuck Barber on recovery from back surgery….Hamer Tate on how the Jeep trails are made……and where…..Julie Boren on managing all those newspapers….out side our club, what Main Street Program is accomplishing…the John Wood election candidates, the Pike County Chamber Plans…..where the new stop lights are planned with the proposed building along Washington Street….and how soon….information on businesses in town, and the county, that our members do  not know of, or what they do… when the man running the Fish business gets back from his current trip to China…what and why did he go???? The Mayor of Barry is also soon to return from a China trip….also went to Russia last year…..

Hey, I could go on all day with suggestions because I listen….and ponder all I hear in my heart….and can regurgitate the same…..when necessary….but…YOU know what you think might be of interest that YOU can do….

Murray Martin reported that our ROTARY Drug and Alcohol Program will be April 24…(and they probably could use some Rotarians’ help with that)  you might put on a program for all on what this total program is about and how it functions… some Rotarians are not acquainted with it…..

Baseball at St. Louis:  Roberta has about 30+ signed up.. Money and any other reservations for the April 29th game should be gotten to her BEFORE

APRIL 1…That’s the day the check has to be sent..

Game is between the Cardinals and Cubs….

Walker Filbert, (a truly sad Cub supporter) said he had heard that the Cardinal’s were forfeiting the game….

Gaylord Rhodes said that , even so, the Cardinals would still win 3 to nothing……

Program:  PDAG Shirley Johnston introduced PDG Keith (2005-2006) Lape.  Keith is the District 6460 Rotary Foundation Chairman.

Keith gave us a quiz about Rotary…which almost all failed….

What year was Rotary Founded? 1905.  Where?  Chicago. When was Rotary Foundation founded?  1917.  What year was Pittsfield Rotary chartered:  1938;   How much money was put into the foundation by the lst Rotary Convention? $26.50.  How many Paul Harris Fellows does Pittsfield Rotary have?  80.  How much did District 6460 contribute to the Foundation…over 4 million….

He explained how the foundation works, where the money goes…a very interesting presentation.

Then WALTER….(the tiger coming out in him, not the ‘lamb)…collected for no pins and no badges…..

The weekly drawing went again to a student guest……(and this one drew his own ticket….)

GET GOING ON GETTING THOSE PROGRAMS…….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
