Get-Well-Card:  We just saved it….It had been for Mel Martin, who had a stint, or two, put in last week….but here he was at our meeting…sorry Mel….no card….hope we don’t have to use it…..

Eric Dolbeare reported on his trip to Mexico…He reported excellent improvements to the facilities at the orphans’ facility.   We’ve  had a part in the improvements, and Eric says the need for construction  help is over… Now there is a need for students and teachers in the future to help with tutoring……

PIG DAY BAR-B-QUE:   Harry has started a team…Need several more cookers to help make it large enough ……also people committed to assist in passing out the ‘samples’ after  the contest judging.  Pork Butt, Ribs, Loin and beef brisket will be cooked….

IF you can help, let Harry know………We need to get ‘OUR’ trophy back……~!!!

Program:    Jane Johnson, Pike County Health Department, spoke on the problem with the excessive regulations that the Illinois EPA is trying to get by our legislators regarding SEWAGE and Septic tanks.. (She spoke while we were eating…)

The material she passed out is very good, accurate and should be read.

She did report that our local legislators are trying to get a bill through that is comprehensive, but not so ‘excessive’..
