Program:  Greg Carnes introduced Dan Long, representing Pike  Theatre Guild.

Dan said this is the 3^rd time this year that Theatre Guild has been presented to our club….

They have started something new….The ‘Rising Stars’, which is for  youth to become acquainted with the Theatre and what it means….They meet monthly at Orr Hall.  Had 25 participating last meeting.   The exposing of children as well as parents to all aspects of the theatre .  This means more people in the future will have more interest in the arts.

A $10.00 fee is charge, but the participants also get a T-shirt to wear in a production later this year.  (The Corn Belt Bank is providing assistance for those who cannot afford the fee). 

They are planning a membership retreat., also a Christmas production just after  Thanksgiving..  Currently have between 30 and 50 members…..

Pike Theatre Guild is looking to make an impact on the community and seeking help on the types of shows they should put on. 

Dan passed out a membership/donation form…. Don’t want to be a member…give a donation…I’ll send a copy with the email….if I can get it copied off…..
