Visitors:  Stan Edeniger, Louisiana Mo Rotary Club.

Paul Sawyer, Whitetail Properties, with Mike Evans.  Paul is originally from Minnesota, produces TV show of hunts, and has offices in the two South buildings on the East side of the Square.

Sara Sibley, Emily Smith and Allie Little, all members of the new RotoAct Club at Pikeland, with Chris Little (father of Allie)…..

Jonathon Schoernherr, Credit Analyst with the Farmer’s State Bank, guest of Murray Martin.  (and Grandpa Keith Smith wasn’t here)….

 

Eric and Roberta Dolbeare and Murray Martin had make-ups at Jacksonville.

Eldon Atwood made up several more times in California.

 

90th Birthday of the Jacksonville Rotary Club was celebrated and a past president of Rotary spoke, relating the many  historic things that have happened in the last 90 years…..Jacksonville also received a literacy grant.

 

Rotarians all received letters about the April 26 meeting in Springfield celebrating the Rotary International Foundation.  Speaker is Past President of Rotary International Jonathon Majiyagbe, who is Chair-elect of the Rotary Foundation.

 

Reservations are due by April 18.  This should be a great evening!

 

Senior Guests from Pleasant Hill:

Tyler Cox, son of Rob and Lynn.  He is active in FACS, Spanish Club, Football, basketball, baseball Chorus, and the lst Baptist Church youth group. Plans to attend JWCC for 2 years and transfer to Union University in Tennessee.   Major is undecided.

 

Adam Gunterman, son of Gary and Mindy.  Is in JWCC for dual credit, FACS, Class President his sophomore year, is active in Football (top area honors here. Basketball, baseball, Band, chorus, 80 hours of service at the PH park, likes sports, fishing, hunting, swimming, and plans on attending Culver Stockton majoring in secondary education and History.    

 

Mel and Linda came up with a rousing edition of ‘Let there be Peace on Earth’….for our singing.

 

Program:  Shirley Johnston introduced Bud Ramshaw, Rotary handicapped worker coordinator, and Mark Augustine, Employment Resource Specialist.

You have all received copies of their material, either at Rotary or by the internet, so read the material.  There are going to be a lot of handicapped workers as the result of their service in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Rotary can help place these disabled service men and others.
