Brandon Scranton, a Rotary Scholarship recipient, wrote us a very nice note, thanking us for helping him continue his education.

Ne3w Business:  Ron Short, Doctor of Chiropractic, has taken over the business from ‘Dr. Dan’ Mefford.  The business will be known as ‘Heartland Chiropractic’.

Visiting Rotarian:  Ed Brokaw, visiting his folks from Texas, where he teaches agriculture.

Guests:  Spencer Boren with Mom, Julie.  Spencer will be working at the Corn  Belt Bank this summer.

Jenna Dolbeare, with Dad, PDG Erick…She will be teaching Agriculture at Cardinal High School in Iowa…..(She also belongs to Roberta….but Dad pays for the meal….)

Violet Shulman donated #$100.00 to the Foundation in memory of a past Illini Hospital Administrator.

Program: Dan Long, President of the Pike County Theatre Guild, presented part of the cast for the ‘High School Musical’, which was presented this last weekend at the Cross Roads Center.  

Directed by Christy Mendenhall, with Braxton Boren (Mom- Julie) on the piano, they gave a very good sampling of the show.  

The show featured performers from all over this area.

It was excellent!!

(If you haven’t noticed, Shirley Johnston can make herself almost totally invisible at our meetings……at least, the server didn’t see her to leave her any food for quite a while…..Way to go, Shirley!!! ).
