Jacob Meyer, son of Rebecca Hoos and Dennis Meyer. He is in NHS, Track, Basketball manager, Scholastic Bowl,  Marching band, Drum Major, golf, attended Premier Boy’s State and asked back as a counselor, Jazz Band, Pep Band, talent show, plays with bands at festivals, works at McDonalds, plans on going to John Wood and WIU in Music Performance/Education.

 

Kelley Davis, daughter of Marcia and Rick Davis. She’s active in Student Council, golf, worka T Old navy, plans on going to Art Institute in Chicago with focus on Business and Fashion.

 

Camille Donaldson, Western Counselor, accompanied them.

 

Eldon had 3 more make-ups in California.

 

Visitors:

          Paula Hawley, Superintendent of Unit 10, with Gary Woods.

          Adam Lawson, Farmers State Bank, with Murray Martin.

          Dr Jason Bollenbaugh, DC with Mark Meleski

 

Murray Martin asked us to set aside April 17 for the Drug and Alcohol Program.  They are working on a grant to assist in the funding….

 

Program: Murray Martin introduced Bill McCartney, Economic Development Director for Pittsfield.

 

Bill told us that the city has met with the legislators with plans in place for the ‘stimulus package’.with ‘shovel ready’ … which are the main items that the administration plans on funding first.

These include the new water line,, and improving the stinking sewer plant….these plans are update ready.   Also looking at improving the road to and around the city lake, the Community Center parking lot and the 80,000 pound tuck route…all of which are top priority.

He also told about his work with the grape industry…Illinois  ranks 3rd in wine consumption… It’s a $250 million dollar industry in Illinois.
