Program:  Gary  Woods introduced  Paula Hawley who provided a excellent presentation of how the School Facility Tax would work in reducing taxes on real estate, if passed.  It was very informative, and all the Superintendents from all school systems in the county also provided input.

The money raised would basically reduce debt…which is sorely needed in this county by our school districts, and would allow people outside of our county help pay for the debt reduction.

You are also reminded that the buying of goods and materials out of the, or via internet, does not assist in helping the local tax base.

The importance of passing this School Facility Tax was emphasized, and we hope you will assist in passing the tax..

Excellent presentation by Paula. and those who assisted her.

Note:  another race, with Jim Gay trying for a position to represent Pike Country on the John Wood Community College Board is important for you, and all of our residents to vote for Jim in this election….
