Current improvements have been made been made by individual donations Many businesses kicked in and individuals as well, and 6 benches were put in at $2500.00 , each, on the square. Money was raised for them in just 3 days. New lighting was installed, and a Flag pole that is high enough to be seen from the Interstate Highway. Clean-up of the bulevard was started with 8 members of the beautification committee sweeping the street...another 35 joined in , and it really looks great. The Pike County Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year was awarded to the Griggsville Beautification Committee.
