Allie
Little, daughter of Rotarian Chris Little and Mary Laugaman. She is VP of
National Honor Society, Sr. Leader of Saukettes Dance team, President of
Student Council, in Roary InterAct, Math Team, Drama Club, Spanish Club,
monitors and tutors Jr High Students, has been nominated for Illinois High
School State Academic Team, is an Illinois State Scholar, in Pike County
Conference Band, helped with Student Coucil Food Drive and Blood Drive,
received the DAR Award, works at County Market. Will attend Illinois College,
major is undecided.
Mackenzie
Lemons, daughter of Michael and Bridgette. and Houe and Aaron Dell. She is in
National Honor Society, Red Wave, Upward Bound, Volley Ball, Student Council,
and Yearbook staff. Will attend Culver/Stockton in Nursing.
Nicholas
Jennings, son of Randy and Kay. Works with Dad. Will attend Chilichothe, MO in
body Work.
Lots of
Rotarians had April Birthdays: Joe, Greg, Julie and Phil.....so we had Good
Cake..Chocolate...!
Visitor:
Scott Lummis, from Pleasant Hill. He is now in charge of Airsman Hires Funeral
Home here. Scott has also been proposed as a Rotary Member. His father, Mike,
was a very active Rotarian in our Club, several years ago.
GSE Team
will be here next Tuesday, Wednesday and leavlng Thurday a.m. Need Host
families. There are 3 women and 2 men, all professionals. They are from Peru.
Let President Dan know, if you ncan help.
Rotary
District 6460 is looking for a new member for the board of trustes. Check with
Dan if interested.
Program:
Carolyn introduced Karen Fesler, Main Street Director and Barbara Fosco, Main
Street board member.
Karen told
of tthe Main Street projects and also of the latest, the "Diamond Dinner',
to raise money to grant to a new starting business on the square. To be used
for start-up costs only, not inventory, or equipment. Hoping for $5,000.00
which would give them some funds for the project.
Barbara
Fosco covered other items and encouraged all to participate in Main Street
Activities.
Material on
this summer's program was passed out.
