PITTSFIELD ROTARY CLUB 9-15-2010
Visitor: Bob Soden, Springfield, Mo, former Rotarian here, with Hamer Tate.
Rotary Radio Days: Carole Bradshaw and Davod Fuhler are leading this, 
needed 7 volunteers to be team Captains. Ann, Gina, gregg, Linda,Debbie 
(volunteered in absentcia) and ?, came forward. Sorry I missed the 
name...they came too fast.
Randy Hires gave us this: Jesus said to the Cubs: "Wait 'til I return"...(that 
says it all....)
District Conference is October 29-30 in Springfield. Information and

plan on going if you can, Past President Jan Bleich will also be on the 
program...The Conference is always very interesting.
Program: Carole Bradshaw...who went to the International Rotary Conference 
in Montreal.
Crol learned that the 'Shelter Box' program, in which we participated last yea, 
originated in England, and presented a program on it...
In Egypt, Rotary is teaching women to read and writing and job skills, to help 
them improve their lives, and the possibility of gaining employment to get 
money to support their families. They also sponsor helping women & children 
get medical care.
One thing was very interesting the help getting orphans uniforms to 
encourage them to go to school
