PITTSFIELD ROTARY CLUB 8-18-2010

Visitors: Bob, Robin and Braden Oitker, host family with our Rotary Exchange Student, Diego Martinez.

IMPORTANT: Speaker on 25th is U.S. Representative Erin Schrock.....Let's have a good turnout. He will be accompanied by Sam McCann.

Eric Dolbeare and Linda Bradshaw led us in some excellent singing....(Let's keep Eric as Song Leader)...

It was brought up that Rotary needs better seats at The ball park next year...(so, get your tickets earlier)...

Program: Debbie Dugan introduced Chris Scholze, candidate for Judge of the 8th Judicial Circuit.

Chris is an attorney from Quincy, his wife, Monica, is Choral Director for Quincy Notre Dame.

There are Judges in each County, and 3 elected at large. He is trying for this position.

Judges are popularly elected in Illinois, and serve a 6 year term.

Chris says he wants to meet as many people as possible.

He has been an attorney since 1987, worked as an Assistant Attorney General for Public Aid, in 1990, join a general practice firm in Quincy.

He has also served 4 years as Adams County Assistant States Attorney, is Corporation Council for Quincy.

He has had a lot of experience with clients under stress. He feels a judge needs to be a good listener,

He feels Judges need to be dedicated to the legal system and be open and fair.

Chris appears to be a good candidate, based on experience.
